Download status windows 10

I have been egearly awaiting the notification that windows 10 is ready for install but its not happining. I have checked the update center, it just says "We'll let you know when the upgrade is ready to be installed on this PC". I qualify for the update and I have a 50mb download connection. I believe its only a 3gig file. Is there something that could be delaying it on my system? Normaly you can, but this remains a mystery. I am currently running Windows 7 Home Premium.
